Chiropractic care at The Health Barn specialises in the low force chiropractic technique known as the McTimoney Method. Not only will its gentle approach relieve your symptoms, but the thorough assessment process will find the underlying cause, so that the root of the problem can be found and addressed. This means that you will feel better for a sustained period of time. The key to the McTimoney approach is the speed and accuracy of the adjustments. Ceris uses chiropractic care along with other techniques such as massage and dry needling for treatments.

Some of the conditions that chiropractic care can help are:
- General, acute & chronic backache
- Joint pains, including hip and knee pain from osteoarthritis (OA) (as an adjunct to core OA treatments and exercise)
- Shoulder complaints (dysfunction, disorders and pain)
- Soft tissue disorders of the shoulder
- Rotator cuff injuries, disease or disorders
- Mechanical neck pain (as opposed to neck pain following injury i.e. whiplash)
- Headache arising from the neck (cervicogenic)
- Migraine prevention
- Sciatica
- Muscle spasms
- Cramp
- Ankle sprain (short term management)
- Elbow pain and tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis) arising from associated musculoskeletal conditions of the back and neck (but not isolated occurrences)
- Minor sports injuries and tensions
- Plantar fasciitis (short term management)
- Generalised aches and pains
- Dizziness (Ceris is qualified to perform the Epley Manoeuvre, a treatment for BPPV. )

Chiropractic is also a successful preventative therapy and can prevent minor problems becoming greater. Chiropractors are also skilled at giving advice on posture. This includes your posture whilst working, driving, sleeping as well as during exercise.

The simplest definition of the word Reiki is: (rei) universal or spiritual (ki) life force energy. Reiki is a gentle, yet profound, non-invasive therapy that works well with other complementary therapies and orthodox medicine.

Usui Reiki - Traditional Usui Reiki flows through the practitioners hands placed upon different areas of the body working on the etheric energy levels to bring balance as a whole; physically, emotionally and/or spiritually. Reiki is a hands on/off form of energy healing which may benefit those with anxiety, stress, and pain who prefer a treatment where they are fully clothed, either lying down or in a chair.

Angelic Reiki - Hands on and off the recipient’s body are used to guide this powerful healing modality that works with the highest energies of the angelic realm. Working to bring balance on all levels to those receiving the healing energy treating the body, mind, emotions and spirit whilst creating a sense of relaxation.

Kundalini Reiki - This is quite different to traditional Usui reiki. Combining the universal energy and the Kundalini, the energy of creation, this aims to work at a deeper level.
